Eid ul-Fitr or indonesian people say Idul Fitri is a holiday celebration for Muslims which is held on the 1st of Shawwal on the Hijriyah calendar. Because 1 Shawwal is based on the rotation of the month, each year the date of Eid ul-Fitr celebration will be different. For someone who has fasted for a full month then the Eid al-Fitr is considered a victory day and the meaning of Eid al-Fitr is the abolition of sins so that humans return to they were just born. Idul Fitri is an important day for Muslims to celebrate the victory day of the month of Ramadan, On this day all Indonesians will get a long holiday and during the holidays, Indonesians have several traditions such as "Pulang Kampung, THR, Takbiran etc.". On every Idul Fitri day, our family also performs several activities such as...
The first activities is Night Takbir and Ied prayer.on Eid day our family used to do takbir and ied prayer, at night my family and our relatives went around to takbir in our area. when takbir we usually walked and carried torches while saying takbir, usually on the way we would meet groups from other regions then we will walk together to say takbir to the town hall. when the night takbir along the way there are also a lot of people playing fireworks it’s very beautiful and also many very good food sellers. when we arrived at our town hall and also some other groups we said takbir together on the town hall field . Then when midnight our family came home and I continued takbir on mosque with my friends until the morning. The next morning we prayed ied together with our relatives and also our neighbors then after doing our prayers we doing halal bihalal in mosque.
The second activities is Eat & Gather with family .After Ied prayers our family returned home to prepare food that had been cooked on yesterday for us to eat together later, my family usually cooks a lot of food menus with the highlight menu is ketupat and opor ayam FYI this is my favorite menu with delicious flavors and then my family will invite our siblings or neighbors to eat together then after eating with family we will do halal bihalal and also we visit neighbors or siblings for halal bihalal. halal bihalal means we apologize for the mistakes we have made.In idul fitri day me and my siblings who hasn't worked will get the money from our uncle, aunt or siblings who has worked that is usually called THR and this my favorite moment because we can get a lot of money and I can use the money for buy something or just I keep to use when I have important situation and need need to use it.
The third activities is Back to hometown and vacation on Kebumen. And then our three activities will go to the grandparents' village of my parents to meet my grandparents and also take a vacation in the city of Kebumen. When I arrived in Kebumen, to get to my grandfather's grandmother's house we had to pass a fairly extreme road because the house is at the top of a hill that is quite high. And when I got home, my grandparents would hug me and my sister maybe because they missed us for not visiting them for a long time. Then our grandparents usually slept in a room that used to be a room had mamah then after we got our room to take a shower and at our grandparents' house the water used came from a mountain spring that was very cool and cold. the next day we went around to the house of the siblings or to the neighbors at the kebumen for halal bihalal and I also got THR here. After halal bihalal the next day we usually vacation to tourist attractions where the best tourist attractions are Karang Bolon beach g and the cave jatijajar is the best place in Kebumen because there are many local and international tourists, this place also has good views and instagramable. Kebumen has a favorite traditional snack, the lanting snack, like crackers, but it looks like number 8 and tastes good, but my favorite taste is spicy balado.
Eid is a day that many people enjoy because they get a long holiday and they can also visit their hometown to meet their sibling or parents. For me and family eid is a moment where we can feel the warmth of a big family, we can apologize to each other and also vacation time for our family where previously we rarely got a long vacation on the same date. I was very happy with all the stories during Eid day and couldn't wait to see the next Eid.
